Their intent is not to seize arbitrary control of a populist event or limit or dictate content–CAM will remain a self-curated event, but they will add a diverse array of official events to the mix, by both local and regional artists and arts organizations, and work to generate national and international publicity for this collective endeavor.

MISSION STATEMENT
Contemporary Art Month is a month long celebration of the contemporary arts in San Antonio. Since 1985, this event has taken place every July, and serves to promote the diverse and vibrant arts community of San Antonio. Participation is voluntary and self-curated. Participants pay a nominal fee to be included in CAM’s annual calendar, soon to be available in print and online. CAM is a not-for-profit entity with 501C(3) status pending.
