The McNay is pleased to present the first full-scale retrospective of the work of Richard Stankiewicz in San Antonio. One of the great American masters of assemblage, Stankiewicz welded discarded industrial fragments into witty and superbly orchestrated sculptures. The McNay is the final US venue before the exhibition travels to the Museum Jean Tiguely in Basil, Switzerland. Curated by Bill Chiego.

Gary Sweeney uses found commercial signage and other objects to create images and messages in his often-humorous work at 445 N. Main. Through colorful installations and hand-made objects, Jessica Halonen explores biological systems, particularly the way the body reacts to diabetes at Stuart Building, 306 E. Houston. Los Angeles-based artist Yunhee Min has been commissioned to do a significant new work which connects Artpace with downtown San Antonio by linking the organization's windows at 445 N. Main with those in the Stuart Building, located in the heart of the city at 306 E. Houston.
